The end of a beautiful 10 weeks

For the last ten weeks I’ve been running Mighty Mega photography project assisted by illustrator Cristina Bueno. The great work created by the participants from week to week leading to the final exhibition can be found here along with some recordings of the young ones’ experiences. Enjoy!

Not Our Class Issue #1

Nice article on a portrait workshop I assisted with a couple of months back. Issue one of Not Our Class, (which is available online) is a newsletter/reader produced as part of a new education programme of the same name led by Studio Voltaire. Through research and practice Not Our Class takes the work of Jo Spence as a starting point for investigating the legacy and potentials of her work in relation to contemporary culture, life and pedagogy.

The above workshop took place at Lambeth Women’s Project (LWP) which is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation that provides a women-run space dedicated to women’s services. The Lambeth Women’s Project is currently under treat as it has recently been given 2 weeks to leave what has been its home of over 3 decades. You can help by signing the petition to SAVE LWP HERE or simply go and picket, go and occupy, go and help LWP stay where it belongs, details here.

Creative Routes 2012

artsdepot_logoExciting, exciting!!!!! I have been selected as one of the 5 artists to be involved in Arts Depot’s Creative Routes 2012, a visual arts project that works with primary schools to create an original piece of visual art that is then displayed in the gallery for public view.

Creative Routes is part of Arts Depot successful schools programme, which provides innovative and educational arts projects, workshops, residencies and INSETS .www.artsdepot.co.uk
