Art students Paris trip

Back in March I accompanied a grout of Art students from William Morris on a day trip to Paris. The purpose was to inspire them by visiting Le Musee d’Orsay, the Museum of Modern Art and La Cite de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine with the occasional Brasserie stop.

Every year Apothecary Gallery works with students studying art at our local colleges to present a series of exhibitions of their work. We hope you will be able to join us for the exhibitions, view some exciting art and meet these talented young artists. This is a great opportunity to support our local community and young people.

The end of a beautiful 10 weeks

For the last ten weeks I’ve been running Mighty Mega photography project assisted by illustrator Cristina Bueno. The great work created by the participants from week to week leading to the final exhibition can be found here along with some recordings of the young ones’ experiences. Enjoy!

Iris & Zoe’s birthday

Yesterday was the lovely Iris and Zoe’s 5th birthday party. Not only was I one of the privileged guests but I also happened to be the official face painter of the day! Discover Children Centre

For the next 10 weeks I’ll be running Discover’s Mighty Mega Project, a weekly photography club engaging Newham children with disabilities and their parents, carers and families. Here are some photos I’ve taken this morning to help me prepare the first activity: a photo treasure hunt covering the indoor trail, adventure garden and story studio.
