Photofusion SALON is a gallery highlight in Photofusion’s calendar, showcasing an impressive range and quality of work produced by Members throughout the year. Exhibited salon-style, the photographic and video work of 100 artists will be installed in the gallery from floor to ceiling.

I’ll be exhibiting a few of my embroidered photographs at the London Analogue Festival in September, an annual free event that promotes and showcases art made with various analogue technologies. More details to come …

All inspired after attending Maurizio Anzeri‘s workshop at The Photographers Gallery. Work in progress with needles and tracing wheel. Embroidering found photographs and Polaroids, stitching the bullet-ridden walls of Beirut.

As the deforestation of the urban forest starts, the gardening activism taking place in the Heygate Estate slowly comes to an end and so is my project of documenting it. Selected images can be seen on my website. For information on The Heygate Estate, its history, its regeneration and displacement of its residents see Heygate Was Home.

This April I will have the opportunity to spend two weeks volunteering for All Our Children, running photography workshops with young people in Uganda. Unfortunatly we’re in need of photographic equipment!!!! So if you have or know anyone who does have any spare 35mm compact cameras, disposable cameras and / or 35mm film (black and white, colour or even slide which could be out of date as they’ll be cross processed), contact me.
